I have spent my first 20 years in education. From nursery school to the university today, study has always been the top
priority in my life. I hope I would not disappoint my parents. Up to now, they have not said a word on my study.
The 20-year experience has taught me a lot of things. The things I have deepest feeling are "appreciation" and "regret".
As a history student and debate team member, I am taught to be critical, critical to all things around you and
not to believe without thinking independently. Yes. It is the way to push us to improvement. However, when you live too critically
in this world where everything has the room for criticism, you lose the enjoyment in life. So, I always tell myself try
to appreciate everything, every happening and every person I encouter in my life. Although I may not understand,
they all serve purposes to me.
"You just live once" and if you only understand it at the end of your life, you will have a lot to regret, regret
for not doing this and that. The feeling of "regret" is the most painful I believe. When you have the chance to do something
but you let it go away, apart from blaming yourself, you have nothing to do. So, do not wait till it is too late. I would
rather making mistakes than regretting.
In the next 20 years, I have to make many important decisions in life. I will stick to my axioms and rely on God's guidance,
so that I can truly be a thankful person to God.
